My name is Ian Antony Lawes. Everybody has their own interpretation and perception of what they see, hear, and feel. For me the 1960s and 70s American pop Culture had a large part to play in my youth along with many other influences that have shaped how I look at and perceive the world. I am a Uk-based illustrator/Fine Art Painter. I enjoy bringing abstract ideas as well as classical images into Complete, Coherant, works that have there own individuality but at the same time a contemporary look and feel . 

Painting, Putting pen to paper. That process is like the kind of freedom i experienced as a young boy. The summer Holidays were to me a sheer joy. Me and my Chopper bike. No responsibility, open spaces, trees, the smell of freshly cut grass, and warm days and warm Summer evnings. To me this was real freedom. No am not talking about the Caribbean but the UK and the Northern County of West Yorkshire back in the 1970s.
